In order to maintain a high quality marketplace for both freelancers and clients, we require freelancers to purchase credits before sending quotes to clients. The number of credits required to send a quote is dependent on the size of the budget selected by the client. By clicking on the job description, you are able to see how many credits are required for each job.
The number of credits required to send a quote varies depending on the size of the budget set for the job. It could cost between 3-9 credits to send a quote. If your quote is not read by the client within 5 days of sending, then we will refund the credits used for that quote back to your account.
« Why do I have to purchase credits before quoting a job?
The 12 month subscriptions allow us to heavily discount the cost to send the quotes. You are saving a minimum of 49% with our packages. We realize it is a large commitment upfront, but we will able to provide you with enough opportunities to find work through our website to make it worth the investment. In addition, we include a Guarantee that if you are not hired by a client during the 12 month membership, then we will give you an additional 6 months of the same membership absolutely free. This is our commitment to providing a great marketplace.
As a freelancer, you will be able to browse through jobs. Jobs are matched accordingly to the categories you sign up with. These categories can be updated in the "Skills" tab in the "My Profile" section of your account. Outsource.com allows for optional email updates on jobs that fit your skills. It is important to build a strong profile that emphasizes all your skills, displays your pay rate, as well as specifies the categories and subcategories in which you specialize. Including as much specific information as possible will allow you to find jobs that best fit your expertise.
Credits are assigned in accordance with the monthly subscription that you have selected with Outsource.com. Before sending your first quote, you must select a subscription in order to begin quoting clients. We offer three types of twelve month memberships that are billed monthly:

All of the subscriptions are billed monthly for 12 months and will renew at the same price. All of the subscriptions also include the Outsource.com Guarantee which guarantees that if you do not find work during the 12 month subscription, you will receive another 6 months free.
Yes, once you are logged into your account you will be able to see the jobs you have quoted previously by clicking the
tab on the top of the page. You will be able to see all the quotes that have been sent recently as well as archived quotes.
« Can I edit / update a quote after I have already sent it?
You are able to update the price estimate in a quote once it has been submitted. This can be done by clicking Sent Quotes on the top of the page and clicking on the quote. There is no way to edit the original message that you sent along with the original price quote, but you can send follow-up messages which do not cost any additional credits.
Once the quote has been sent, it is up to the client to get in contact with you in order to further discuss the job details. You can also send a follow-up message, which will not cost you additional credits, if you have any questions.
« What happens if the client doesn't view my quote?
Outsource.com understands that there may be times when you will not get the job. In the case that a client does not open your quote after 5 days, the credits will be returned to your account for use towards another quote.
Absolutely. If you run out of the monthly allotted amount of credits you may purchase more at the time that you wish to send your next quote. After the monthly credits run out, you can purchase additional credits per credit or in a bundle. The pricing for additional credits is:
Outsource.com will return any credits used to send a quote in the event that a client does not view your quote within 5 days of sending. The credits will be returned to your account for use towards another job and you will also be notified of this transaction via email.
In order to collect funds for services provided and jobs completed on Outsource.com as a freelancer, you will be able to receive funds through ACH (U.S. only), PayPal, Wire Transfer, eCheck (certain countries only), and a mailed check. To withdraw a payment, go to "Receive Payments" in the account section.
« Where does my account information go and what is needed?
Outsource.com uses Tipalti Inc. to securely send payments to freelancers providing services on Outsource.com. Specific account information that is needed in order to receive payment through Outsource.com depends on the country of residence for the freelancer and will be asked when you setup your withdrawal method for the first time.
The payment system varies on the payment determined by the client at the beginning of the contract as specified in the original negotiations. Clients that choose hourly contracts will be billed weekly for the hours worked by the freelancer on Sunday night for the previous week. Funds will be available to the freelancer on the following Thursday at Midnight UTC.
Clients that choose fixed price contracts will set up deliverables that are to be funded on a per-diem basis throughout the length of the job. When the project is initially set up, the client automatically funds the first deliverable and the freelancer is free to begin working at their earliest convenience. Deliverables can be arranged by the freelancer and the client through the messaging service in the Job Project page.
« Where do I submit my work performed or the hours I worked on a job?
Freelancers are encouraged to upload their deliverables into the file section of the project page that both parties have access to. You can also enter the amount of hours worked for the week into this section, providing that it falls under the amount of hours limited that is specified in the contract.
To get paid for hourly work completed, you must submit the number of hours that you complete work each week into the work log for each job. The clients will be charged for the number of hours that you entered the previous week on Sunday at midnight UTC. If there are no disputes filed by the client, then these funds will be made available on Thursday at midnight UTC. Should there be any Bank holidays, please allow for the specified extra time for the funds to be deposited.
« How do I get paid if I am working on a fixed contract?
Freelancers working on a paid contract will be paid upon the completion of deliverables that will be agreed on by both parties in the contract. The client will fund a payment for a deliverable when it is created. These funds will be held by Outsource.com until the client authorizes the release of payment. At that time, the funds will be made available to be withdrawn by the freelancer.

Outsource.com offers 5 different methods for freelancers to withdraw their funds. These include Direct Deposit/ACH, Physical Checks, Wire Transfer, and PayPal and all have individual fees that are pre-determined and depend on financial institutions.

« What if I have a dispute? What if my work completed is in dispute?
Should issues arise between a client and freelancer, both parties are able to file a dispute with Outsource.com. Disputes will be settled in an appropriate and timely manner by the team at Outsource to help mediate any issues held by the two parties. The job that has been filed for dispute will be paused until the matter is resolved by Outsource.com.
« What if I am a non-American freelancer? Will I be taxed on my wages earned?
Non-US persons (as defined by the US Internal Revenue Service) are required to complete an online statement to that effect. Generally speaking, non-US persons are people or entities that have no United States activities including, but not limited to, owning a web server/hosting service in the United States, or having employees in the United States providing services that are involved in generating income.
